Belgium Visa

Description

Belgium does not have a visa department in Bangladesh. For short-stay Schengen visas (up to 90 days), Belgium is represented by the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka.

Applicants should submit their visa applications through the Embassy of Sweden or the Honorary Consulate of Belgium in Dhaka.

Required Documents for a Belgium Short-Stay Visa (Type C):

1. Visa Application Form: Completed and signed.
2. Photographs: Two recent passport-sized photos (35x45mm) with a white background.
3. Passport: Valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure from the Schengen area, with at least two blank pages.
4. Travel Insurance: Coverage of at least €30,000, valid throughout the Schengen area.
5. Flight Itinerary: Round-trip reservation or travel itinerary.
6. Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservations or an invitation letter from a host in Belgium.
7. Financial Means: Recent bank statements or a sponsorship letter indicating sufficient funds for the stay.
8. Employment Documents: For employees: a letter from the employer and recent payslips. For students: proof of enrollment and a no-objection letter from the educational institution. Trade license /AOA,MOA
9. TIN/TAX: The applicant needs to submit an ITR copy of the last 3 years. The ITR copy needs to be collected from the Bangladesh National Board of Revenue.
10. Cover Letter: Explaining the purpose of the visit and itinerary.
11. Civil Status Documents: Marriage certificate, birth certificate, or other relevant documents.

Application Process:

1. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the visa application form accurately.
2. Gather Required Documents: Ensure all necessary documents are prepared as per the checklist.
3. Schedule an Appointment: Contact the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka or the Honorary Consulate of Belgium to book an appointment.
4. Attend the Appointment: Submit your application and biometric data (fingerprints and photograph).
5. Pay Visa Fee: The standard fee for a short-stay visa is €90; for children between 6 and 12 years old, it’s €45.
6. Wait for Processing: Processing times can vary; it’s advisable to apply well in advance of your planned travel date.
